"We are very pleased to introduce Seabourn Sojourn to London and to the world," said Pamela C. Conover, Seabourn's President and CEO.  "She is a beauty inside and out, offering luxurious accommodations, the finest cuisine and gracious, personalized service along with a sleek and stylish design. Sojourn will provide the exclusive and intimate experience that Seabourn is known for and our guests have come to love and enjoy," she continued.

The 225-suite yacht offers an extraordinary travel experience, notable for its relaxed, sociable ambiance and highly personalized, intuitive service by nearly one staff member per guest.

Sojourn also offers the highest space-per-guest ratio in the industry, accommodating no more than 450 guests in spacious, ocean-view suites, 90 percent of which have private verandas. Top of the range suites include Grand Wintergarden Suites, offering 1,403 square feet of indoor and outdoor space; two bedrooms and bathrooms; a private, glass-enclosed solarium with tub and daybed; dining for six; two bars; whirlpool and three flat-screen televisions.  All suites feature separate living areas and bedrooms, writing desks with personalized stationery, iPod and MP3 connections and spacious granite bathrooms with separate bath and shower and twin sinks.

The largest spa on a luxury vessel, the two-deck Spa at Seabourn provides the ultimate pampering experience at sea.  Exceptional new amenities in the 11,400-square-foot spa include a Kneipp Walk, an herbal bath facility and aroma steam bath with salt inhalation.  For pure indulgence and relaxation, guests can reserve the canopied Spa Villa, with a whirlpool big enough for two, a private balcony for sunbathing, a double daybed and a full living room.

To satisfy gourmands, Sojourn offers culinary experiences in its four dining venues that rival the finest restaurants anywhere.  Guests will savor five-star dining at The Restaurant, with menus created by celebrity chef Charlie Palmer, or enjoy innovative small-plates tasting menus at the avant-garde Restaurant 2.  Both the indoor/outdoor Colonnade and casual poolside Patio Grill serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Guests can also enjoy meals from the Restaurant menu, served course by course in the comfort and privacy of their suite or on their veranda during extended service hours.  The dining venues, as well as the six bars and lounges, serve a full range of beverages, including fine wines and spirits, with Seabourn's compliments.

Other highlights include two outdoor swimming pools, six outdoor whirlpools, and water sports from the unique fold-out marina.  Located on the top deck is The Retreat, featuring a contoured nine-hole mini golf course, a giant chess board, shuffleboard and stargazing in the evening.  On Deck 7 is Seabourn Square, an innovative "concierge lounge" with a library, upscale shops, outdoor terrace, computer center and coffee bar.

Sojourn will be moored mid-river for two days of inaugural celebrations on June 4 and 5.  British supermodel and fashion icon Twiggy will officially name the vessel during a glittering ceremony on the evening of June 4.  On the following day, the company has donated Sojourn to the non-profit organization, Breast Cancer Haven, as the venue for a gala fundraising event to celebrate the charity's 10th anniversary.

On June 6, Sojourn will begin her maiden season from London, and sail 12- to 14-day voyages during the summer to the Baltic, Scandinavia, Russia, Norwegian Fjords, and Scotland, as well as several Mediterranean voyages in the fall.  Following a 12-day transatlantic cruise, the yacht will operate a series of Caribbean voyages in the winter from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.  On Jan. 5, 2011, Sojourn will embark on a world cruise from Los Angeles to London via the South Pacific, New Zealand, around Western Australia, Indonesia and Southeast Asia, India, Arabia and the Mediterranean.  Rates for the full 111-day world cruise begin at $49,995 per person, based on double occupancy.

For a limited time, Seabourn is offering two-for-one cruise fares with included round-trip air, or cruise-only fares featuring savings up to 65 percent.  The promotion is valid for Seabourn voyages in Europe departing between June and November 2010.  Nine-to-12-day voyages on the new Seabourn Sojourn in Northern Europe start from $4,999 per person, cruise-only or $6,400 with inclusive air. The cruise line that revolutionized the industry with the FlowRider surf simulator, ice-skating rinks, cantilevered whirlpools, rock climbing walls and the Royal Promenade, an entertainment boulevard stretching nearly the length of the ship, is poised to unveil a range of new attractions and engineering marvels onboard Oasis of the Seas. The ultimate expression of Royal Caribbean's legacy of imagination and innovation, Oasis of the Seas introduces unique industry "firsts" including a neighborhood concept - seven themed areas providing guests with the opportunity to seek out relevant experiences based on their personal style, preference or mood. Within these seven neighborhoods - Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone - are extraordinary elements such as the first park at sea, a thrilling zip line that races diagonally nine-decks above an open-air atrium, an original handcrafted carousel, 28 multilevel urban-style loft suites boasting floor-to-ceiling windows, an aquatic amphitheater - called the AquaTheater that serves as a pool by day and a dazzling ocean front theater by night; and an array of epicurean innovations that allow for new culinary experiences each day of a guest's cruise vacation.

This November, just in time for the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday, Oasis of the Seas will be unveiled on ABC's "Good Morning America" who will be there to welcome her into her home port in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. as well as give viewers an exclusive first glimpse of the ship during a special live broadcast on Friday, Nov. 20.

The official naming ceremony for Oasis of the Seas will take place on November 30 during a one night inaugural celebration-fundraiser to benefit the non-profit Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Tickets for the once-in-a-lifetime event begin at $750 per person and guests who wish to continue their adventure onboard will receive an exclusive discount price, beginning at $650 per person, on a four-night cruise package sailing to the cruise line's private beach destination, Labadee, departing the morning following the event on Dec. 1 (rates based on double-occupancy and stateroom package). For reservations to this exclusive event combined with the four-night sailing, contact Cynthia Paez, Royal Caribbean International, at (877) 202-1520, ext. 12751, or cpaez@rccl.com.

An architectural marvel at sea, she spans 16 decks, encompasses 225,282 gross registered tons, carries 5,400 guests at double occupancy, and features 2,700 staterooms. When Royal Caribbean International officially names Oasis of the Seas - the world's largest and most revolutionary cruise ship - on Nov. 30, 2009 from Port Everglades Cruise Terminal in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the renowned cruise line will be doing more than making wishes come true for vacationers, it will be granting wishes for children across the country through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Oasis_seas-ship.jpg

Royal Caribbean will be hosting an inaugural celebration-fundraiser onboard Oasis of the Seas and has donated 100 percent of the sales from 1,000 of the ship's staterooms for this once-in-a-lifetime event to the non-profit Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Tickets for the event begin at $750 per person. Guests who purchase one of the staterooms and wish to continue their adventure onboard will receive an exclusive discount price, beginning at $650 per person, on a four-night cruise package sailing to the cruise line's private beach destination, Labadee, departing the morning following the event on Dec. 1 (rates based on double-occupancy and stateroom package).

Wish kids and their families will participate in the onboard festivities during the celebration on Nov. 30, including the official naming ceremony of Oasis of the Seas, and will enjoy the ship's world-class entertainment amenities during the spectacular inaugural event. Onboard amenities for guests' enjoyment will include two rock-climbing walls, two FlowRider surf simulators, four unique types of pools in the Pool and Sports Zone, spa treatments at the Vitality Spa and Fitness Center, and an acrobatic diving show in the AquaTheater. Additionally, guests will enjoy a special dinner featured in the Opus Dining Room after which they can catch side-splitting comics in Comedy Live, relax in one of the ships many lounges, or join in world-class gaming in the Casino Royale.

The Make-A-Wish celebration-fundraiser is part of Royal Caribbean's ongoing support of the organization. Since 2000, the cruise line has hosted more than 1,300 children who wished to go on a cruise to destinations around the world and has contributed more than $2.8 million in in-kind services and $372,000 in discount savings through its Wishes at Sea program. Through employee and guest fundraising efforts, Royal Caribbean has also raised more than $480,000 and 460,000 frequent flier miles, used to secure airline tickets for children's wish travel and help the Make-A-Wish Foundation conserve critical financial resources.

"The generosity of sponsors like Royal Caribbean has greatly enhanced our ability to grant life-affirming, world-class wishes and is critical to the mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation to bring hope, strength and joy into the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions," said David Williams, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America president and chief executive officer. "We hope that people across the nation will support the Foundation by joining us for this special inaugural cruise celebration and fundraising effort, enabling us to bring smiles to the faces of even more children - children who are waiting for wishes."

Oculus is the first "design launch" of Schöpfer Yachts LLC. This 250-foot vessel was designed by E. Kevin Schöpfer, founder and owner of his namesake company.

Designed to accommodate 12 guests in extraordinary comfort and style,

Oculus is a long distance cruising yacht capable of speeds upwards of 25 knots. The exterior styling is representative of the jaw and eye socket bone structure of large oceanic fish and mammals. Featuring a dramatic reverse bow configuration, the yacht's armature balances an elegant expression of symmetry and structure.

oculus1.jpg

oculus2.jpg

In addition to the bow, Oculus also features a "low rider profile". This slightly lowered surface allows for new side recreational areas, alternate dockage access and light cruising openness. Lateral retractable side panels close this area when heavier wave action is indicated.

The interior features of Oculus focus on a 12 foot high ceiling in the main salon, a cylindrical double height dining room, central stair and elevator tube, and seemingly anatomical ceiling and floor lighting extensions giving definition to the seating areas.

oculus3.jpg

The second level is the dedicated Owner's suite. Living areas and bedchambers are divided by a series of four freestanding tubes, which house bath and storage necessities.

In addition to the main common stair, the second Owner's stair connects to the third level aft private salon and deck / water feature. The third level also contains the forward pilothouse and separate captain's quarters. The generous open decks with separate water features are located forward and aft for convenient guest use. Specifications and plans are in the final stages of completion and will be posted at a later time.

Schöpfer Yachts was founded in 2008 as a US based company dedicated to the pursuit of advanced yacht aesthetics and technology. They are among a new breed of yacht companies, which will secure strategic alliances with the world's finest naval architects and shipyards. This strategy will allow the flexibility to explore a wide range of design venues while insuring these designs meet and exceed the highest level of maritime standards.

To that end, we are pleased to announce that Sparkman and Stephens (New York, Ft. Lauderdale and Newport) will be the naval architect for our first venture, the Oculus. As we enter the next generation of yachting design, we offer our design collection to the global yachting community and to prospective owners who share our vision of innovation and excellence.

From the west coast, Queen Elizabeth will continue her westward journey to the ever-popular city of Sydney (where she will stay overnight) via the South Pacific and New Zealand before heading to the exotic ports of Asia including Singapore, Bali, Vietnam and Thailand as well as another overnight stay in Hong Kong. Then the ship sails on to Malaysia and India before calling on Dubai (also an overnight stay), followed by a visit to Oman before transiting the Suez Canal and taking in some of the sites of Egypt, Greece, Italy and Portugal en-route back to Southampton. Here North American guests can rendezvous with the Queen Mary 2 and take in a legendary Transatlantic crossing to complete their 103-day circumnavigation of the globe. Full World Voyage fares start from $19,995 per person.

Segment voyages capture the essence of the World Voyage and aboard Queen Elizabeth range from 12 to 25-days, including New York to Los Angeles (16 days), Los Angeles to Sydney (23 days), Sydney to Singapore (25 days), Singapore to Dubai (12 days) and Dubai to Southampton (19 days). Guests can enjoy great value by combining two or more consecutive segments to create adventurous Liner Voyages. Segment fares start from $2,545 per person.

Queen Mary 2 World Voyage

Queen Mary 2 will begin her fourth World Voyage in New York and her second passage sailing on an east-west route around the globe. After a call in Fort Lauderdale, the ship will head to the Caribbean and South America, calling on Barbados, Brazil and Uruguay before arriving for an overnight stay in the magnificent city of Cape Town in South Africa, the ship's second visit to this exceptionally beautiful metropolis. From there she will sail to the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean before an exploration of Australia that culminates with an overnight stay in Sydney. The ship continues on to New Zealand and Guam before sampling some highlights of China and Japan en-route to an overnight stay in Hong Kong, followed by visits to Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand and India en-route to Dubai. From here, Queen Mary 2 will call in Egypt before making a transit of the Suez Canal that will take her to European calls in Italy, Monaco, Spain and the United Kingdom, her last call before ending her 103-day odyssey in New York. Full World Voyage fares start from $19,995 per person.

Segment voyages aboard Queen Mary 2 range from 15 to 25-days and include New York to Cape Town (23 days), Cape Town to Sydney (17 days), Sydney to Hong Kong (25 days), Hong Kong to Dubai (15 days) and Dubai to New York (23 days). Consecutive segments can be combined to experience adventurous Liner Voyages. Segment fares start from $3,245 per person.

Cunard is also pleased to offer guests the chance to enjoy the World Voyage experience using a combination of Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary 2. Embarking in New York, guests will be able to complete the first half of their World Voyage on Queen Elizabeth before transferring ships in Sydney and sailing back to New York on Queen Mary 2.

"Cunard's World Voyages have been a highlight of our programmes since we introduced this travel adventure in 1922 and our two global journeys offer surprising value that is truly beyond expectation," said Carol Marlow, president and managing director of Cunard Line.

Cunard Royal Rendenzvous

Exactly three years to the day after Cunard welcomed its trio of Queens in New York, this rare event is poised to take place again on January 13, 2011 when Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth call on New York for another spectacular Cunard Royal Rendezvous. Be among the few to experience this history-making day as you depart New York Harbour on one of the most famous ocean liners in the world.
